About Myself

I spent years training as a journalist and working in local television news. In 2021, I decided to brave a new path and take my talents to the tech industry. My interest in tech started during my junior year of college when I learned HTML/CSS. In fact, I coded this website after learning those skills! I really enjoyed the work that went into making this website come alive, and other projects I worked on in the tech space. I knew I could see myself working in tech long term, but as I was applying for full time roles post undergrad, I had no clue how a journalism degree could land me a position in a tech company. Stepping out on faith, I left my first news gig, and started applying for roles in tech that aligned with my skillset. Shortly after, I landed my current position as a Software Instructor at a well-respected software company! The impact I am making, incredible clients I get to meet, and mission driven work I do makes me so happy I did take that leap of faith. Working as a journalist prepared me with so many skills I still use each day. I am now a MBA candidate at The University of Georgia- Terry College of Business. I am blessed!
